Just off the Atlantic coast of the Delmarva Peninsula, in the extreme northeastern corner of the Eastern Shore of Virginia, lies the largest inhabited island in the state, Chincoteague Island, Virginia.
A short trip from Baltimore, Washington DC, Virginia Beach to New York. With travel time from two to five hours, you will sense a feeling of relaxation as soon as you cross over our new bridge and step onto the Island.
Only minutes away from Assateague Island, where the famed Chincoteague ponies roam among deer, egrets, geese, Assateague Island offers miles of natural ocean beach, 1861 lighthouse, walking trails and a new visitor center.
The Chincoteague Center is centrally located on the Island being a short distance to hotels, restaurants, shops, museums, and many fine artistians of the Eastern Shore.
